On May 10, 2012 we held our first daytime meeting at the Jackson Township Senior Center. The meeting resulted out of the initiative of a township resident, with support from DBSA New Jersey, DBSA local chapters from Colts Neck and Ocean County, and the senior center. The meeting was a success with nine individuals attending.

This meeting is now hosted at  the Brighter Days Self-Help Center, 268 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Contact Maureen at 732-536-5826 or mfalkowitz27@gmail.com for information about this meeting.

As we have for years, group meetings are held every Wednesday and Friday at Community Medical Center on Rte 37 in Toms River in Auditorium C. Meeting times are 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

We also have regular meetings for people dealing with mood disorder and family/friends, on Fridays from 7:15 PM to 9:00 PM, in the Family Resource Room, at Meridian Health & Fitness on Rte 9, Stafford, NJ.

No pre-registration is required for any of our meetings.

Update January 15, 2019: The Stafford meeting is no longer associated with DBSA. The Jackson meeting is now on Wednesdays at 12:30 PM.

We were thrilled to welcome Allen Doederlein, DBSA President, to our Seventh Annual Conference on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Allen spoke on how DBSA is motivated to serve our needs. His warm personality easily charmed us all!

Unwilling to let this meeting come to an end, facilitators from Somerset and neighboring chapters in Middlesex and Princeton have voluntered to share facilitation of the group. We are discontinuing the Belle Mead group at Carrier Clinic as we do not have facilitators available to continue at that location. The final meeting will be this Thursday, January 24. We offer other meetings in the area that you are welcome to attend, including at Metuchen on Mondays, Princeton on Tuesdays, Bridgewater on Wednesdays and New Brunswick on Fridays. Thank you to all those who have participated, supported and conducted this meeting, and thank you to Carrier Clinic for hosting our meeting.
