We welcome DBSA Newark, NJ as an independently affiliated chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), our national organization that supports and advocates for people living with mood disorders. The support group, which has been meeting since June 2016, was previously meeting under the banner of DBSA Succasunna.

People living with mood disorders, including family and friends of such individuals, are welcome to attend our twice monthly meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the Community Health and Wellness Center of Newark Beth Israel Hospital. The street address is 208 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ 07112. Meetings are from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Our support group in Newark will be changing its meeting time to 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM starting August 2. Through July 19, meetings will continue to be from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Meetings are on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

We hope the new meeting time will make attending our meetings easier for individuals who work, and we are open to making additional adjustments to encourage participation. Our Newark meeting is sponsored by Newark Beth Israel Hospital and DBSA Succasunna.
